Use Muntz Library Resources from Anywhere!

  • You have full access to the library's digital resources from anywhere.
    • Search our catalog and/or databases to access digital titles.
  • We will mail physical items to your home.
    • Submit a request through interlibrary loan (ILL) as though the item is not in our catalog. We will mail the item to you!
    • Materials not owned by Muntz Library can be requested through ILL and mailed to you as well.
    • Physical course reserves and archival materials excluded.
  • We can email book chapters (copyright permitting).
    •   Need a chapter from a book or an item on microfilm/microfiche?
      • Email your librarian the citation. We can often scan/print the item and email it to you! Copyright restricts scanning entire books, but chapters are usually ok.
  • Virtual research instruction via Zoom or TEAMS is always available!
    • Email your librarian for an appointment.
    • I am happy to guide you through the research process or help you troubleshoot technical issues.

Additional distance services are described below.

Interlibrary Loan

InterLibrary Loan (ILL) service allows students to borrow items from other libraries. If Muntz Library does not have what you need, simply submit a request for a book, journal article, conference paper, etc. and we will try to find it for free!

First time users will need to register. Register Here

Good inter-library relationships are essential for academic libraries to function. When you receive an ILL item, please note:

  • Copyright notices on electronic resources.
  • Due dates on physical items.
    • There is a $1 per day, per item late fee for ILL items.
    • Please ensure that you put items in the mail with enough time for them to get to us by the due date!

Email ill@uttyler.edu for any questions about using interlibrary loan.

  • Sometimes you may not be able to connect because of firewalls or other configuration issues beyond your control.
When that happens, go to the virtual desktop!
