Citation Guide: Other Styles

September 9, 2015- After much consideration of publishing standards and member input, the American Anthropological Association has decided to cease production of the AAA Style Guide. AAA style now adheres fully to the current edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date).

The American Chemical Society information for authors contains information about the ACS style and you can check out some of the library books listed to the right for more information.

Information about the American Medical Association style is available from the University of Evansville or you can check out the library books listed on the right.

Information about the Associated Press style is available from the OWL at Purdue or you can check out the library book listed on the right. This style is most often used in newspapers and journalism publications.

APS is the format of the American Physical Society.

The most recent APSA Style Manual (2006) asks writers to use the parenthetical documentation system in the Chicago Manual of Style (not the note system) for documentation in political science writing.

The American Sociological Society published a summary of the American Sociological Association style guide. We also have a book available in the library.

The American Statistical Association has a unique style guide loosely based on Chicago and AP.

Developed by the Council of Science Editors, CSE (formerly known as CBE) is used in the natural and physical sciences.
