SwoopSearch

One of the most common questions we get is: Where do I start?

SwoopSearch

Search for books, articles, media, and more

Advanced Search

Databases by Title || Journals by Title || Research Guides by Subject

Swoop Search is what we call a federated search box, meaning that it's set up to search most of the library's resources at one time.

Place your terms in the box and hit search.

Then use the filters on the results screen to narrow down your choices.

For BOOKS, select the drop down menu at the top to search just the library catalog.

You can also click on Advanced Search to do a targeted search across multiple types of resources.

Textbooks

We are working to purchase eBook versions of as many textbooks as possible - check our Library Textbooks guide to see if yours is available!

Typically we do not purchase print textbooks as part of the library collection. However, some professors do make textbooks or supplemental readings available in course reserves. These books are available from the help desk on the second floor.

We also cannot request textbooks through interlibrary loan.

We do have a large format scanner on the second floor. Please be mindful of copyright laws if you choose to use it.
