The Office of Research & Scholarship, Robert R. Muntz Library, and UT Tyler Colleges are committing $15,000 to support faculty, students, and staff who publish in quality Open Access journals. One of UT Tyler’s Strategic Initiatives, our goals include:
You are a current UT Tyler faculty, student, and/or staff member.
Your journal of choice must be indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).1
Your article must be peer-reviewed and accepted by the journal in 2019-2020.
Your article must be open access immediately upon publication.
All articles published by your journal of choice must be open access (no hybrid model).
You are not receiving other sources of funding (including grants) to cover publication processing costs.
You agree to have your work added to UT Tyler’s Institutional Repository, Scholar Works at UT Tyler.
Funding is on a first-come, first-served basis. If funding runs out, applicants are place on a wait-list until the next fiscal year, depending on fund availability.
One Article Processing Charge funded per article, per year, per person, at a maximum of $1000.
You must have proof of article acceptance prior to applying.
Funds will only cover costs associated with article/publisher processing fees.
Reimbursement will occur after article acceptance, receipt of invoice, and review of submission from survey.
Funding derives 1/3 from Robert R. Muntz Library, 1/3 Office of Research & Scholarship, and 1/3 from your College.
