Fall 2018 - STEM - Library Newsletter

From your Liaison Librarian

Greetings STEM Faculty & Staff!

I hope everyone is having a great start to this fall semester! I would like to welcome everyone back, and also welcome all of the new faculty and staff that we have joining us this year. I look forward to working with you all!

We have a lot of exciting things happening this fall! You may have noticed in your courses there is now a page for "Library Resources". Now students will be able to directly access the Library from within Canvas! Right now it opens to general library information but we are in the process of inserting subject guides relevant to the course. We are also in the process of updating the look, feel, and content of our subject guides. You will start seeing these changes over the course of this semester.

You may have noticed that we just implemented a new Interlibrary Loan System. Please allow time for all of the updates to be made to reflect this change. Note that for faculty and staff, you can now login with your regular credentials and if you are on campus, you will be auto-logged in. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance.

Check out the listing of upcoming library events. I want to specifically highlight the workshops being offered this semester and our new initiative, Librarians on the Loose! Keep an eye out around campus for us! Both the workshops and Librarians on the Loose presentations will be offered via Zoom too for all of you that are not on the main campus.

Happy Fall Y'all!
Christine Forisha, Liaison Librarian for Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Math, Communications, & Criminal Justice
